Erepublik.com is an on-line society. You have their official presentation bellow. The web-based game was developed by a romanian programmer who sold parts of it to a number of investors. The project is in his beta stage and for the moment invitation is required in order to get in. I have 3000 people ahead of me on the waiting list and their server is acting up sometimes but … sounds interesting.
The Erepublik story

Alberto Contandor, who rides for Team Astana, is the first non-Italian rider to win Il Giro d’Italia in the last 12 years. He was joined on the podium by, of course, 2 italians: Riccardo Ricco and Marzsio Bruseghin. Contador is source of major controversy after his transfer to Astana, a team who was banned from Le Tour De France 2007 and also from this year’s event due to doping issues.
In tennis Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic eased to the final 16 of Roland Gaross. And a record breaking run for the jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt, the new holder of the 100 m record: 9.72 seconds. He managed to beat the 9:74 seconds time set by his countryman Asafa Powell at an athletic meeting in New York.
George Sampson, the amazing teen breakdancer, managed to win this year’s Britain’s Got Talent. With a lovely smile, great ambition and determination and a huge amount of talent, Sampson found his way to performing in front of the Queen.
The teenager, however, was not for the first time on Britain’s Got Talent. He took part in the 2007 edition as well, and although he received the priceless support and admiration of Simon Cowell, his road stopped in the semi-finals. Nevertheless, Sampson did not give up, and so this year he returned stronger than he had been and with more enthusiasm and ambition than anyone would get to see in a person of his age.

It’s the 53rd edition of the european song contest. Nico and Vlad Mirita, Romania’s representatives, qualified for the final that’s gonna be held on Saturday 24 May – 21:00 CET. This is the song that earned them a spot in the big final.
The next generations of the A class and B class are going to be manufactured in Romania, Timisoara county. This area was chosen because of the transport infrastructure available and the high concentration of automotive industry, especially components (electrical, tiers, headlights etc.)
